Norman, Oklahoma, was recorded in Austin, Texas, and released on Zuma/Red River Records in May 2003. The album features twelve original songs and employs the services of musicians ranging from bassist Cindy Toth, formerly of the Reivers; to guitarist Mark Lyon of Keri Leigh & the Blue Devils; to drummer Freddy Krc, whose credits include work with Roger Waters, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Carole King.

This was Anderson's first full-length album in about six years. It's loud.
