Whose abandoned car,

On the mossy banks,

In the flashing lights.

Flies 'round the trunk,

Spent shotgun shells,

Open it up,

Who was this.

What has happened here,

Who were these two,

Someone's darling girl,

Some mother's son.

Shot through the head,

Bound and gagged,

Stuffed in here,

Thrown away.

Outside town.

What has happened here,

Who did this thing;

Where do we begin,

How do we go home.

And down some road,

Someone rides,

Who hears the blast

And smells the blood,

Outside town.
