The original release of Bolide was from the fine folks at Zuma/Red River Records in Germany. It was Anderson's first predominately solo/acoustic effort (one track features piano and cello). It originally contained seven original songs and clocked in at around 32 minutes. It features the best songs you'll ever hear about iron lungs, experimental aircraft, and killers listening to oldies radio.

The rerelease of this CD contains bonus tracks: a couple from hard-to-come-by collections, two from a vinyl 45, and two demos.
